Welcome to the second issue of the Australian Journal of Labour Economics (AJLE) for 2020. This year Australia, like every country in the world has experienced one of the biggest shocks to its economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic with enormous impacts on the labour market. Given its importance we have made this issue of AJLE a Special Issue devoted to the effects of COVID-19 on the Australian labour market.
